Newspaper Contribution 7: Same sex marriage ?

It must be accepted same-sex marriage? Legal recognition of same-sex marriage continues to be one of the most socially and legally controversial issues of the day. The legality of same-sex marriage varies greatly by jurisdiction around the world. The issue of homosexuality is not an issue is nothing new. Known stories from ancient Greece, where he maintained relationships with people generally of the same sex and also promoted sex between soldiers. It has remained a subject of debate since Gay couples currently struggling because they accept same-sex marriages. In many countries have reformed the civil code to accept such marriages and thus the adoption of children between the couple. Bringing consequences to society. . Different arguments for and against have been around the world. Where the Church has proclaimed and gay advocacy groups have come to fight for their rights.

Groups of people for defending his thesis about the need for same-sex marriages are legalized. "There is no greater pain than repressed love, ask the law can never be considered illegitimate, " says Alfredo Grande psychiatrist, who is in favor of gay marriage. (Census of the Nation, Argentina, 2010). Groups persist in defending their rights, because they are people just like every human being nothing but feel attracted to someone of the same sex. Gay family has grown, there are many who now advocate the need for acceptance in society and be treated like people. It is also important to protect the interests of its properties and assets in order to secure the future of the couple in case one partner dies. And to end the civil marriage is not a religious issue. Each religion evaluated for himself whether to accept it or not.

Opponents of same-sex marriage say that marriage is an institution between a man and wife is also an ideal way of procreation. The stereotype says that gays are promiscuous, unable to form lasting relationships, and relationships that are formed are shallow and compromised. On the other hand the church through the Bible says that homosexual acts are immoral and violate the sacred institution of marriage. Marriages are to ensure the continuation of the species. Legalizing gay marriage undermines heterosexual marriage, as well as counterfeit currency real currency weakens. Legalize gay marriage, means delivery of children to homosexuals. Some people say "I see well that gays get married but not adopt children. " It is a misconception that is to legalize the marriage without adoption: whether marriage is legalized always include adoption. Who support one thing will be supporting, like it or not, the other because our law allows spouses to jointly adopt, once married, are already partners, and may adopt.

Personally, I don’t believe in Same Sex Marriages. I grew up in a society where I learned that a marriage is between a man and women. But that same society taught me that everyone has the legal right to be happy. I respect people's sexual preferences, but I support the arguments against same-sex marriages. Because there is no natural base, biological, this can support gay marriage. There is no scientific evidence of the existence of the third sex.

In conclusion, I think this movie very interesting, as it shows that we have clear objectives in life, to fight against any adversity, if we get up on the floor with your head up and continue our course. Believing in ourselves is the main thing, no doubt at any point in our qualities. We can go as far as our minds allow us to think.

NEWSPAPER CONTRIBUTION 4: Ethnic Conflicts

In many countries and many periods a person’s ethnic identity has had profound consequences for his or her physical safety, political status, and economic prospects. Violent confrontation along ethnic lines is the most apparent form of ethnic conflict, and it recently has claimed lives in such diverse places throughout the world. The three most terrible ethnic conflicts have been the conflict in Rwanda, in former Yugoslavia, and The Holocaust during World War II in Europe.

First of all, since 1994 were initiated violent clashes in Rwanda, the most visible have been fighting between Tutsi and Hutu conflict started because of the conflict between Hutu and Tutsi elite not to share power, to have in unique to the country's political reins. The conflict left between half and one million victims because of the massacres. Different countries around the world declared their opinion regarding this situation. While Bill Clinton recognized their responsibility and accountability of the international community in the Rwandan genocide in 1994. And said: "We need to all peoples of the world to devote our best efforts to maximize the chances of preventing such events and, when they cannot be prevented, act quickly to minimize the horror."

As Rwanda was these internal conflicts, countries such as Yugoslavia faced a similar situation, but this time was among the peoples of the former Yugoslavia, mainly Serbs, Bosnians and Albanians. The conflict was due to political, economic and cultural. Just as religious and ethnic tension. The effects of these conflicts were poverty, massive economic disruption and persistent instability in the territories where the worst fighting occurred.

As well as Rwanda and Yugoslavia, the Holocaust left to much mess and destruction at German in the World War II. The Holocaust was the systematic persecution and murder, bureaucratically organized and sponsored by the State of approximately six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators. Between 1942 and 1944, the Nazis deported millions of Jews from the occupied territories to extermination camps, where they were executed in facilities designed specifically for it. The German Nazis forced the Jews to forced labor for the German government, and to wear badges that marked them as Jews. Los crimes committed during the Holocaust devastated most European Jewish communities and totally eliminated hundreds of communities Jews in the occupied territories of Eastern Europe.

Ethnic conflicts such as in Rwanda, former Yugoslavia, and The Holocaust during World War II triggered the worst feelings a human being can have. Any country or society can go through such terrors. Different religion, race, and beliefs are not good reasons to kill each other. It depends on new generations not to repeat the terrible crimes against

NEWSPAPER CONTRRIBUTION 3: Immigration around the world

We all know about the famous American dream; where people from different countries, will lead America in order to overcome economic and deliver a better future for his family. Under this circumstance go through many difficulties for example; deportation, discrimination, abuse, assault, and bad economic remuneration. According to Prensa Libre "... immigration in Costa Rica is growing" (Prensa Libre, 2010). Costa Rica has been called "the dream tico", where people from countries like Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Cuba; come to our country seeking new opportunities. Among the advantages is that, it favors large and medium entrepreneurs, because they can find employees more easily and, at lower pay, reflecting the lack of equity, and the amount of discrimination. Finally a big disadvantage is that many people from other countries come illegally, and causing conflicts such as murder, assault, theft; damaging the peace policy of our country. La Prensa Libre. NEWSPAPER CONTRIBUTION 2: A Real Problem: Global Warming

Global warming is a fact, and we have three examples that can prove it. The first example is the ice melting, which is a problem that brings so many negative consequences to us. Scientist and international organizations have been development some studies to show people how big this problem is, and that we need to do something to stop it. Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency reported that “Arctic ice was melting at a far quicker rate than anticipated”. The change in precipitation patterns is another example that shows how world is changing because of the global warming. According to the Union of Concerned Scientist, observations for the last 100 years indicate that extreme precipitation events (more than 2 inches in 24 hours) in the United States have increased by about 20% (Karl and Knight, 1998). Increases in heavy precipitation have also been reported for Japan and northeastern Australia. A raise in the intensity of precipitation intensifies flood potential. Finally, we could mention as an example the elevation of temperature. The Solo Ciencia Magazine analyzed weather and fire for six years by satellite and realized that, in dry years, the practice of using fire to clear forests is increased, releasing large amounts of extra carbon dioxide. These results show the importance of stop the deforestation (Randerson, James, 2011). The link between drought and deforestation is very slim. Droughts and forest vulnerability aggravate if the weather temperature gets warm; therefore, the volatility of the stored carbon causes the combustion process and as a consequence we will have forest fires. As we can see, Global Warming is real, and we need to do something if we want to conserve life in earth.

NEWSPAPER CONTRIBUTION 1: Consequences of Domestic Violence

Domestic violence has serious consequences, and there are four principal areas that it affects; for example: physical, psychological, financial and social. The physical effects are the most common consequences of the aggression, according to Cathy Mayers who writes for About.com, at least 42% women and 20% of men sustain minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and swelling. Some examples of this kind of consequences are: broken bones, head injuries, laceration, and internal bleeding. In some cases, the physical aggression can take the life on an innocent; for example, women who are pregnant can experiment abortion. In the other hand, domestic violence could have social effects that get the victim situation worst; for instance, the isolation from family and friends or stressful relationships with authority figures such as employer or professors. Also the humans that had been affected for domestic violence suffer physiological problems like anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and depression. These issues can cause that people sometimes wish to end with their life. INAMU says that “In 2000, 25 women died due to domestic violence” (INAMU). Finally, we have the financial consequences, often when the victim leaves the abuser; his or her life takes a turn. They usually have no support and not way to continue handle their lives. As a conclusion, consequences of the domestic violence affect victims in so many ways and it also affects innocent people. We need to do something to stop it.
